New electric vehicle charging points now available at Rushcliffe Country Park

Last updated: 28/4/2023

Electric vehicle (EV) owners can now top up on the go even more conveniently in Rushcliffe thanks to another charging site at Rushcliffe Country Park.

The BP Pulse enabled hub can now see EV and hybrid users quickly charge their vehicles up to 80% in just 30 minutes whilst visiting the picturesque site in Ruddington.

It’s the latest installation of EV charging points from Rushcliffe Borough Council as part of its Carbon Management Plan to support sustainable transport choices in partnership with Nottingham City Council and the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles.

The site is another convenient and reliable facility for EV drivers, adding to the Council’s current network of sites available in Gamston, Keyworth, Radcliffe on Trent, Cotgrave, Bingham Arena, Gresham Sports Park and Rushcliffe Arena in West Bridgford.

All users can access the facility via the contactless option and BP Pulse members can also access the facility with their RIFID card or via the app.

All the information you need to top up at any of the sites is available on our website.

The authority’s Deputy Chief Executive and Director Neighbourhoods Dave Banks said: “We’re pleased to see the new EV charging hub installed at our popular country park.

“As the warmer months approach and we see an increase in people visiting the park, these new EV chargers will help even more residents and visitors to the Borough protect the environment, improve air quality and lower carbon emissions.

“The charging point is an essential part of our work to become Carbon Clever and encourage even further use of electric vehicles and convenient public charging points.

“We know it’s vital to keep building on the infrastructure to support electric vehicle usage across the Borough.”
