Learn more and chat to experts on the future of healthcare in Rushcliffe

Residents registered with Rushcliffe GP practices are invited to learn more about the future of healthcare in the area in a dedicated event on the changes and exciting advances already underway to local health and wellbeing services.

‘The Future of Healthcare in Rushcliffe’ takes place on Thursday June 27 from 2pm to 6pm at Cotgrave Welfare Scheme, Woodview, Cotgrave NG12 3PJ and residents can book their free place via Eventbrite discover more on local services and get their questions answered.

They can hear and chat more with local GPs and other healthcare experts, meet local voluntary sector groups, and fellow residents to hear more on the shared vision for the future of health in the Borough.  

The event aims to enhance knowledge of health, wellbeing and resilience for individuals and local services and focus on how patients and residents are equal partners to the service provided by the NHS.

It will also outline how the services will be delivered in a sustainable way aligned to the partner’s environmental commitments.

Rushcliffe Alliance of PPGs for Innovation and Development (RAPID), affiliated with GP practices is Rushcliffe, have organised the event which has been funded through Rushcliffe Borough Council’s (RBC) Reach Rushcliffe initiative, helping to tackle social isolation and loneliness across the Borough.

The evening is set to feature a blend of talks, stalls, discussions, and a Q&A session on closer working across health, voluntary and RBC services.

RAPID Chair Paul Midgley will provide a welcome and introduction to the event followed by key speakers including:

  • Overview of health and care changes in Rushcliffe with Keyworth GP Dr Guv Sahota
  • Tackling local inequalities in health by representatives from The Cotgrave project
  • Supporting people at home after hospital with Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Head of Adult Services for Nottingham West Community Services Nicola Zurawliw
  • A wider range of support with Rushcliffe Social Prescribing Team Lead Morgan Sharpe and Rushcliffe Community Voluntary Services CEO Carolyn Perry
