Last updated: 12/6/2025

Rushcliffe Oaks are offering residents an opportunity to attend an open day at their site near Cotgrave on Saturday June 14.

Running from 10am until 2pm, the day offers you the chance to meet the crematorium team, including Maisie the comfort dog and answer any questions you may have on the environmentally friendly service, based on Main Road in Stragglethorpe, NG12 2PY.

Find out about the sustainable ways in which the buildings and tranquil grounds in Nottinghamshire’s greenest facility operate and discover the innovative memorialisation options.

There’s also a chance to talk to local funeral directors, celebrants and funeral service suppliers with refreshments available. Local talented bagpiper Ed Arnold will also be performing at midday.

Awaken Therapy will also be running a free relaxation session which can be booked onto by emailing info@rushcliffeoaks.co.uk or calling 0115 914 8557.

A tombola with an array of prizes is also taking place to help raise money for Friends of Ash Lea school and contribute to an event for the children who attend the school.

Rushcliffe Oaks Manager Rhonda Churchill said: “This is another opportunity to visit and find out all about us. Don’t forget our monthly Chance to Chat meetings too, look out for updates on our Facebook page, just search Rushcliffe Oaks.”
