Confirm your details to ensure all at your address are registered to vote
Last updated: 27/8/2025
Residents across Rushcliffe are now receiving emails asking them to confirm their household details to ensure they are registered to vote for future elections.
From today (Wednesday August 27) residents who have received an email can visit RBC's online household update service to confirm their details.
To complete the online response, they will need to enter their postcode and add their security code, which have been provided via email.
If any new people are added to an address, they will also need to complete a registration application available on the government website. Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) will send each person a paper form if they do not apply online.
If no response is received to the email and for properties the Council do not hold an email address for, a paper form will be posted in the coming weeks. If a paper form is received, please follow the instructions and respond where necessary.
Adam Hill, Electoral Registration Officer for RBC said: “It’s very important that residents respond to our emails on the annual canvass as soon as possible to ensure we have the right details on the electoral register for every address in Rushcliffe.
“Make sure you can have your say at future elections by simply checking the details of the email when it arrives, then follow the instructions and respond where necessary.
“If you’re not currently registered to vote, your name will not appear on the form. If you need to register, the easiest way is to complete the short online form on the government website, or we’ll send you information explaining how to do this in the post.”
