  1. When was your last networking (LAN, Core & Edge refresh, and when is the next refresh planned?The Councils Core network switches were replaced in 2023 and are not due for review until 2028. The Councils Edge switches is planned to be replaced 2024
    1. What would you like to improve upon in your next refresh?
      Support for Zero trust networks and the ability to update firmware without bringing down the network for our Edge switches.
    2. Could you please confirm the supplier for your current contract and the vendor that you are using?
      Dell support via Access system

    The council have recently replaced their Wireless infrastructure in 2023 and is not due for review until 2028

      Support for Zero trust networks and support for Wifi 6

      The supplier support and maintenance is provided by Extreme Network

    The Councils telephone was replaced in 2021 and not due for review until 2026

      The availability status to be more accurate.

      Teleware are the appointed supplier for support and maintenance
  4. Do you currently use SD-WAN or SASE, if not it this something that you are planning to do?
    The Council do not currently use SD-WAN, but maybe something we investigate in the future. This is currently not programmed in.

    Approx. 20 contact advisors

      To expand on digital services for our residents and integration with the back office to promote self-services.

      The Council have appointed NetCall to provide support and maintenance to this system, which is due to expire in 2026
