I would like to know about the contractual arrangement between the operator of Keyworth Leisure Centre and the Council.

Is a copy of the contract available to share with me under Freedom of Information Act?

Could you please include the operator's company registration number in whatever information you'd be able to share.

I'm also interested to know how the council manages the operator and ensures its level of service meets its contractual obligations.

I would like to know about the contractual arrangement between the operator of Keyworth Leisure Centre and the Council.

The council entered a contract with Parkwood Leisure Limited to operate leisure facilities in the Borough. Keyworth leisure centre is one of the sites included within that contract. Parkwood Leisure Limited subcontract operational delivery
of the services to Lex Leisure Community Interest Company.

Is a copy of the contract available to share with me under Freedom of Information Act?

The contract is considered exempt under Regulation 43(2) of the Act as to
share the contract would be likely to prejudice the commercial interests of the
contractor.

I'm also interested to know how the council manages the operator and ensures its level of service meets its contractual obligations.

The council employs a Contract Performance Officer to manage the performance of the leisure operator. Performance indicators and strategic objectives for the contract are established annually. Operator performance is managed formally through monthly operational performance meetings, quarterly strategic performance meetings and regular review of the operators financial operating trading / profit and loss accounts and usage data. In addition, rated spot checks are conducted at venues within the contract. Regular informal liaison occurs between the council Contract Performance Officer and the operators Contract Manager on a day-to-day operational basis.
