Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to request the following:

1. A copy of the full food safety officer’s inspection report for The Cottage Hotel (Country Cottage Hotel), 12 Easthorpe Street, Ruddington, NG11 6LA, relating to the inspection dated 27 February 2025.
2. A copy of the full inspection report relating to the more recent inspection dated 11 March 2026, once available.
3. Details of any complaints, investigations, or reports of illness relating to this premises that the council holds records of, particularly around 10th July 2026.

Response

In response to your Freedom of Information request, please find attached the reports for The Cottage Hotel food hygiene inspections carried out in February 2025 and March 2026. 

Our records for this business date back to the 31st  of October 2018. Since this date, the Environmental Health Department has received one other complaint of suspected food poisoning relating to a function on the 7th of December 2019. This was not confirmed as food poisoning as no stool samples were submitted for microbiological examination. Food hygiene visits were carried out on the 17th and 20th of December 2019 to investigate this complaint.
