Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to request the following information.

Please confirm the capacity, in litres, of the standard landfill (general waste/residual waste) wheelie bin currently provided to households within your local authority area.

If there is more than one standard size in use, please provide the litre capacity of each size and indicate the circumstances in which each is issued.

Response

Thank you for your freedom of information request. Our grey bin which is the general waste that goes to incinerator, not landfill, is 240 litres, as are our blue recycling and green garden waste bins. We supply a smaller glass bin that is 180 litres.
