Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to request the following information relating to Heavy Goods Vehicles (7.5 tonnes and above) operated by, or on behalf of, your local authority.
This includes (but is not limited to) lorries, buses, refuse collection vehicles, etc.

For the calendar year 2025, please provide the following information regarding tyres purchased for Heavy Goods Vehicles:

Local authority operated fleets

Commercially contracted fleets

• Number of tyres purchased
• Number of retreaded tyres
• Number of single life tyres

Response

I can confirm that we are a Local authority operated fleet and do not have any Commercially contracted vehicles.

For the period Jan-Dec 2025 across our HGV fleet we purchased the following:

• Number of re-treaded tyres - 533
• Number of single life tyres - Nil                                        
• Number of tyres purchased - 533
