I would like information for the past five financial years: 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25 and 2025-26.
Please present the information in a spreadsheet, with column headings for each financial year.
Please can you tell me:
- How much the council spent on employer contributions to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
- How much the council received in council tax.
Response
This information is already in the public domain in the notes that support our statement of accounts, although you would need to know which figures are the right ones.
Council Tax is part of note to the accounts called taxation and non-specific grant income and expenditure, there is Council tax income as one of the figures (Note 7 in the latest Accounts).
The employers pension contribution is in note to the accounts called Defined Benefit Pension Scheme (Note 32 in the latest accounts) and is under the heading Actual amount charged against the general fund for pensions in the year and line employers contributions payable to the scheme.
