Response

  1. Do you directly commission refuge services for victims and survivors of domestic abuse?
    • No
  2. If yes, is the refuge service you commission for women only (single sex)?
    • Not applicable

    • The Tier 1 LA is in the process of commissioning services on behalf of the county Tier 2 LAs. My understanding is that the safe accommodation will be for women only although there are separate organisations that provide support specific to men - Equation. We would place a male survivor in B&B as part of the LAs statutory homelessness duties.

    • Yes, this is part of a countywide commissioning process lead by the Tier 1 LA
