RBC celebrates National Apprenticeship Week!
RBC celebrates National Apprenticeship Week

To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, we caught up with our Streetwise Business Apprentice Imogen Cliff:

Imogen started her apprenticeship in January 2026, in partnership with Access Training.
What made you apply for the role/apprenticeship?
"I applied to the apprenticeship role as I was intrigued from my previous cleaning role from having an insight into how Streetwise operates.
"After leaving school I was unsure on the type of job that was for me, until I met the previous Streetwise apprentice Evelyn Shaw, who gave me an insight on what her duties involved, how she had improved her skills and how the organisation has so many opportunities to develop.
"RBC is all about getting involved in the community and making it a better place for our residents and that is something I wanted to be a part of."
What do you enjoy most about your role?
"The part I enjoy most about my job is knowing that my work contributes behind the scenes and seeing a visible impact. I enjoy that my role comes with a variety of tasks and there is always something new to learn, whether that be through the apprenticeship providers or through my colleagues Streetwise.
"Since I began my role both the office staff and front-line staff have been so welcoming and helped me to settle into my role."
What’s a typical day like at Streetwise?
"A typical day will vary with all sorts of tasks, at Streetwise it can all depend on the weather, but we always make sure to be prepared!
"As Streetwise is used by a lot of staff from other departments I get to know some of the staff from the arena as well and learn how their role and team work. There will regularly be new duties, from public queries to general administration work and always supporting the team!"
