Epicormic removal completed

The Streetwise tree team have successfully completed the 2026 epicormic programme across Rushcliffe, carrying out essential maintenance works to 717 trees across the borough.   

The Epicormic work programme takes place during bird nesting season and plays a vital role in keeping the boroughs trees healthy, well managed and able to thrive. Regular maintenance helps to control the growth and improves the trees health. 

This important programme has been delivered in partnership with VIA east midlands, showing the strong commitment to maintaining the trees for both residents and wildlife alike.  

Streetwise Tree Team Co-ordinator Harvey Hallam led the delivery of the project.

He said: "I am really proud of all the staff who have taken part in delivering this programme, with the tree team also supported by operatives from the grounds maintenance.

"It has been a real team effort to deliver such a high-quality service in such a short space of time, I’m really proud of the team."
