Request

I firstly wanted to ask are you aware of what percentage of the residents in the area don't actually recycle?

Do you know roughly the amount of recycling you get sent every year in tonnes?

What percentage of recycling is turned away simply because it's not been cleaned?

One of the things we are looking at specifically is single-use plastic in the country, out of the plastic that's sent to you what would you say is the percentage that is actually non-recyclable?

We've been thinking especially about glue sticks, glue sticks do vary from the area, specifically in the local area do you advise that they just go into the landfill due to the adhesive?

We do not have this information.

Do you know roughly the amount of recycling you get sent every year in tonnes?
This can vary year on year and on garden waste is very much weather dependent. On an average year tonnage is around 11000 tonnes garden waste, 7000 tonnes of dry recycling, 2500 tonnes of glass and smaller amounts such as 10 tonnes or batteries and smaller tonnage of textiles, Tetrapak, etc.

What percentage of recycling is turned away simply because it's not been cleaned?
Again can vary but last year our rejection rate was 11%

This figure is not known.

We send hardly any waste to landfill so such items would go in the residual waste bin and then sent to a local energy from waste plant.
