Please could you inform me if you have a person responsible for managing social value?
- We do not have a dedicated officer for managing social value, but it is covered by many disciplines. Our Corporate Priorities Strategy Document 2024-2027 is expansive regarding social value for: the environment; quality of life; sustainable growth; efficient services.
If you do not, who is managing your social value?
- We have lead officers in Economic Development (Economic Growth Manager); Community Development (Communities Manager – Community Development); and the Property Services Manager. We have a dedicated Environment team lead by the team manager for the Environment sitting within Community Development.

- We do not use a social value platform.
If you are not, how are you managing your social value?
- As above, work commissioned/delivered is done so with consideration to our Statutory Duties and if discretionary, in line with our Corporate Priorities. Every capital scheme is considered in line with our corporate priorities, procurement, environmental impact, and outcomes. We also have a new Procurement Strategy which includes social value in contracts. The link to this is:
