Response date

Request
This is a request for information according to the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Please note there is one part to my request, which relates to homelessness and former prisoners.
Please can you confirm the number of women owed a housing duty where the recorded cause of homelessness is leaving prison.
A local authority owes a homeless applicant the main housing duty when the relief duty ends and the authority are satisfied the applicant is: homeless, eligible for assistance, in priority need, not intentionally homeless.
Please can you provide data from 1 April 2021 up to and including 31 March 2026.
Response
The Council does not hold this information in a readily reportable format. To extract the requested data would require the creation of a bespoke report by our housing management software provider. The cost of this work would exceed the appropriate limit set out under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Accordingly, this part of your request is refused under Section 12(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, which allows a public authority to refuse a request where the cost of compliance exceeds the statutory limit (currently £450, equivalent to 18 hours of officer time).
