I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 about the Household Support Fund and its replacement, the Crisis and Resilience Fund.

Please answer the questions below in priority order.

Priority information

For the Household Support Fund covering 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026, please provide:

  1. the authority’s total allocation;
  2. its total eligible expenditure;
  3. the amount spent on administration; and
  4. the amount left unspent, unclaimed or otherwise unused.

For the Crisis and Resilience Fund covering 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027, please provide:

  1. the authority’s total allocation;
  2. the amount allocated to Crisis Payments;
  3. the amount specifically budgeted for autumn and winter 2026/27;
  4. the amount spent to date; and
  5. the amount currently remaining.

Please state the date to which the expenditure figures relate.

For the application-based part of the 2025/26 Household Support Fund, please provide:

  1. the number of applications received;
  2. the number approved;
  3. the number rejected;
  4. the number of households that received support; and
  5. the total value awarded through applications.

For Crisis Payment applications received since 1 April 2026, please provide:

  1. the number received;
  2. the number approved;
  3. the number rejected; and
  4. the total value awarded.

Please provide details of the Crisis Payment support currently available to residents, including:

  1. who is eligible;
  2. how residents can apply;
  3. the minimum or maximum award available, if applicable; and
  4. a direct link to the application page.

If time allows

For the 2025/26 Household Support Fund, please provide the total value of vouchers issued and, where recorded, the value that expired or remained unredeemed.

Please provide the amount of Household Support Fund support distributed:

  1. following an application; and
  2. automatically or proactively, without the household needing to apply.

Please provide:

  1. a copy of the final 2025/26 Household Support Fund management information return submitted to the Department for Work and Pensions; and
  2. a copy of the authority’s 2026/27 Crisis and Resilience Fund delivery plan.

Response

The Household Support Fund Tranche 7 was administered by Nottinghamshire County Council. I can confirm that the new Crisis and Resilience Fund for Rushcliffe Borough Council, also comes under the jurisdiction of Nottinghamshire County Council.
