About Proms in the Park
On the last Saturday in June thousands of people around Britain join together every year to mark Armed Forces Day, a nationwide celebration to honour the work of the British Armed Forces. In Nottinghamshire one of the biggest events takes place in West Bridgford at Rushcliffe Borough Council's free annual Proms in the Park outdoor concert.
The award-winning Proms in the Park returns to Bridgford Park in West Bridgford on Saturday June 28 from 12.30pm to 9pm with live 80s band Wild Boys headlining the annual event in conjunction with Armed Forces Day.

Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) is delighted to welcome Rehab Beauty, based in West Bridgford, as an event sponsor. The beauty salon has been trading for 14 years pampering residents with luxury treatments from head to toe.
Rehab Beauty Director Alea Ward said: “Proms is a fabulous event which we love attending every year with our family and friends. There is always such a great atmosphere as the crowds enjoy singing and dancing along to live performers.
“This year, we’re excited to come on board as an event sponsor to support the event that offers fantastic live music and entertainment and celebrates our local armed forces.
This year we have a new event host Nottingham born and raised radio presenter, DJ Charlie Burley will be presenting the day and introducing the performers on stage.
Charlie is the resident DJ of the Trent Rockets in The Hundred cricket competition at Trent Bridge Cricket Club. As a radio presenter, Charlie has worked at several stations across the Midlands including BBC Radio Nottingham. His recent celebrity interviews include Kylie Minogue, Danny Dyer and Girls Aloud.
In addition the outdoor concert also gives people a chance to support local Armed Forces and meet representatives from Ruddington Detachment – Nottinghamshire Army Cadet Force, Nottinghamshire Freemasons, Royal Air Forces Association, Royal British Legion, 162 Regiment The Royal Logistic Corps and RAF Air Cadets - 2425 Squadron.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day including hot and cold drinks, a licensed bar, ice cream, confectionery and a variety of hot food.
Toilet facilities have been increased compared to previous events.
