Dogs in the Park

Dogs at Rushcliffe Country Park

We welcome well behaved dogs at the park and hope they enjoy the dog agility area and open spaces to have a good run around. Dogs must however be kept under control and poo picked up straight away.

High quality poo bags are available to buy at the Ranger’s Office for only £2 for a pack of 50 and there are plenty of bins around the park for you to dispose of bagged dog waste.

Please be aware that not everybody loves dogs and may be intimidated by them so please take care to always keep them under control and not allow them to run or jump at other visitors.

If you are planning a ‘breed meet’ or gathering with a large number of dogs we ask you to please meet in a large open space rather than the car park to avoid conflict with other park users and if possible, let the Park Rangers know in advance.

If you are a professional dog walker, we ask you to consider limiting the number of dogs you have at once to four, in line with RSPCA recommendations and RSPCA’s professional dog walking guidelines.

Certain areas of the park are dogs on leads zones

  • Around the lakeside
