   • condemn or condone the activity of 3rd parties including private companies or charities operating textile recycling banks on land owned by the council or land privately owned without gaining the relevant environmental regulation permits from the relevant authorities including this council?

Response

Rushcliffe Borough Council's stance is based on textile banks being sited on our own land without the specific permission of the land owner (i.e RBC) We will actively pursue the owners of such banks where possible and will remove from site if no permission is granted

Whilst it is not for Rushcliffe to comment on what other council's or private land owners may do we would support any registered waste carrier having the appropriate licence in place to ensure that they are compliant with all relevant regulations.
