Response

Rushcliffe Local Plan (2012 - 2028)

The most accurate data regarding flood risks in Rushcliffe is set out within the Greater Nottingham Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA). However this does not cover all of the Borough and excludes areas beyond the main urban area and its fringes. Areas not covered by the SFRA rely on the EA flood risk map.

Using both these sources of information. Only two allocated sites have been allocated within areas of flood risk. Both within flood zone 2.

A total of 750 homes have been allocated on these sites. However only a portion is within flood zone 2 and in both cases the development requirement policies prevent development within the flood zone. Taking these mitigation measures into account no homes will be built within the flood zone.
