Response

  1. In the last 5 years how many complaints has your council received against members of the council?

    A list of complaints received since 2012 when new standards regime was introduced is presented to each meeting of the Standards Committee. This is available on the website from the last standards committee on 14 November 2022.

    Cases and Work Update 2022-23.pdf (rushcliffe.gov.uk). There is a new report due to be presented at the next Standards Committee in February (date still to be arranged). This will be available to view of the Council’s website.

    Yes – this is evident from the table.

  1. How many complaints were progressed to an investigation?  Yes – this is evident from the table.
  1. How many complaints led to some form of standards hearing?

    One standards hearing which was the result of a number of complaints relating to the same Town Council.

  1. In those cases that progressed to a standards hearing, what were the charges/allegations/complaints and how many of those were upheld/found to be proved against the councillor?

    Allegations are set out within the table and further context is set out within the Improvement Board report (see below).

  1. Where allegation were upheld/found to be proved, what sanctions, penalties or punishments were imposed?
