I would please like to make a Freedom of Information Act request relating to West Bridgford’s entry to the DCMS UK Town of Culture 2028 competition.

  1. Please can you provide a copy of this town’s Stage 1 Expression of Interest entry for the DCMS UK Town of Culture 2028 competition. (I note that you may or may not be the organisation which submitted this entry, but my assumption is that you nevertheless hold a copy of it).
  2. If it is not otherwise stated within this Stage 1 Expression of Interest, please can you confirm which organisations were the proposed Delivery Body and Accountable Body for your entry.
  3. Please can you provide any information or decision papers concerning this Stage 1 Expression of Interest that were tabled for the consideration of your Council members.
  4. Please can you confirm if this Stage 1 Expression of Interest campaign included a) surveys open to the public, b) one or more in person public meetings, and c) one or more online public meetings.
  5. Please can you confirm the amount of money that was directly spent by your Council on this Town of Culture 2028 entry and associated campaign.
  6. Please confirm the estimated total amount of in-kind time spent by officers, employees and members of your Council in completing this Stage 1 Expression of Interest and associated campaign activities (e.g., attending meetings).

  2. If it is not otherwise stated within this Stage 1 Expression of Interest, please can you confirm which organisations were the proposed Delivery Body and Accountable Body for your entry.
    • Deliverable body: Rushcliffe Borough Council in conjunction with community partners.
    • Accountable body: Rushcliffe Borough Council supported by James Naish MP.
  1. Please can you provide any information or decision papers concerning this Stage 1 Expression of Interest that were tabled for the consideration of your Council members. None
  2. Please can you confirm if this Stage 1 Expression of Interest campaign included a) surveys open to the public, b) one or more in person public meetings, and c) one or more online public meetings. None. Surveys were conducted by the MP’s office in the lead up to the submission of the bid.
  3. Please can you confirm the amount of money that was directly spent by your Council on this Town of Culture 2028 entry and associated campaign. None, Officer time only.
  4. Please confirm the estimated total amount of in-kind time spent by officers, employees and members of your Council in completing this Stage 1 Expression of Interest and associated campaign activities (e.g., attending meetings). Approximately 25 hours.
