Please could you provide the following information regarding litter & enforcement in your council area: Littering Fine Value:

  1. Do you issue fines for littering? YES/NO
  2. If so, at what level do you levy fines?
  3. The Government said in March 2023 that they are increasing the upper limit on fines for littering to £500.
    1. Will you be levying fines at this level?
    2. If not, at what level will you levy fines for littering? Enforcement & Statistics:
  4. Do you use an in-house team or private enforcement company to issue fines for littering?
  5. How many fines (FPNs) for littering were issued in your council area in 2021/2022?
  6. How many fines (FPNs) for car parking were issued in your council area in 2021/2022?

Please could you provide the following information regarding litter & enforcement in your council area: Littering Fine Value:

  1. Do you issue fines for littering? Yes
  2. If so, at what level do you levy fines? The level for the offer of a Fixed penalty notice (FPN) to discharge liability is publicly available and publicised at Rushcliffe - Fixed Penalty Notices (FPN) 
  3. The Government said in March 2023 that they are increasing the upper limit on fines for littering to £500.
    1. Will you be levying fines at this level?
    2. If not, at what level will you levy fines for littering? Enforcement & Statistics: 

      Enforcement & Statistics: The FPN amount is indicated in 1 above. No consideration has been given at this time to the ability to increase the FPN amount.

  4. Do you use an in-house team or private enforcement company to issue fines for littering? 

    External contractors engaged on a concessionary contract.

  5. How many fines (FPNs) for littering were issued in your council area in 2021/2022?

    1761 FPN’s for Littering there were issued from 1/4/2021 to 31/3/22 (incl), 19 were cancelled, leaving 1742

  6. How many fines (FPNs) for car parking were issued in your council area in 2021/2022?
