Salary: £26,508 per annum

The Role:

We are currently looking for a trainee Tree Surgeon who is keen to develop into a professional tree surgeon and join our expanding Tree Division. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, hardworking, eager to learn new skills and show a positive attitude towards work. Good communication skills are essential due to the nature of the work. Work can be physically demanding, and includes climbing, so a good head for heights is required

The role will enable you to progress and become a vital member of the tree division. Training is provided for the right candidate who shows a willingness to progress. The post offers the opportunity to learn and to develop new skills and make a real contribution to our fantastic borough, the environment and quality of life for our residents. 

The role is diverse and can run from planned tree work for clients to emergency response to supporting land management teams. No two days will be the same!

Location: 

Based at our Bingham depot, you will be working closely with your team leader completing various tree works. Flexibility is key – there are early starts, as well as occasional working at weekends and on bank holidays. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to any on call services during public bank holidays as the need arises.
