Salary: £27,600 - £32,301 per annum (Salary on appointment will be dependent on your qualifications, experience and skills)

Rushcliffe Borough Council is a modern, ambitious and high performing local authority and is seeking to recruit an experienced, capable and enthusiastic Property Inspector to complement its Property Services team, which manages the authority’s extensive land and property assets in an efficient manner, always seeking to achieve the best outcomes and provide great customer service.
The Property Inspector will play a key role within the Property Services team and to be effective will need to be a good time manager, happy to work flexibly both on their own but also as part of a team. They should be competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications and able to interpret plans and other building related documentation and also have a good knowledge of building construction, possibly obtained via a trade background. We’re looking for a ‘can do’ person who is prepared to get involved in a wide range of estate and property management site inspection activities. The role will involve extensive travel around the borough visiting various sites and properties to undertake surveys and inspect works which will occasionally involve climbing ladders and scaffolding. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential as liaison with customers, tenants, colleagues and suppliers is a key feature of the role.
Your starting salary will be dependent upon your qualifications, skills and experience; progression on the salary scale (£27,600 - £32,301) will be subject to possessing a HNC in Building Studies or equivalent qualification and the ability to work effectively without close supervision.
