Are you looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly Human Resources team as a Health and Safety Advisor.
About Us:
Rushcliffe Borough Council provides high quality services to more than 110,000 residents in a borough made up of vibrant towns and stunning villages. Our Council offices are located in West Bridgford, Nottingham in a purpose built office and leisure centre facility, Rushcliffe Arena.
The Role:
We require a motivated and enthusiastic team player with significant experience in Health and Safety. Working under the Strategic HR Manager, you will be responsible for a full range of H&S Advisor duties, helping to deliver an efficient and effective service to our staff and managers across the Council. The H&S Advisor duties will be varied including inspections, audits, policy writing, accident investigations, providing advice and guidance as well as training and educating colleagues.
This is a busy and varied role which requires strong organisational skills and attention to detail. The 26 hour post can be split across the week to suit the successful individual and demands of the role. This role is hybrid; you will be required to visit our operational sites within Rushcliffe, alongside Rushcliffe Arena and will have some flexibility to work from home. With previous experience of working in Health and Safety, you will need to be able to communicate effectively at all levels, working efficiently as part of a team but mainly on your own initiative.
Benefits of working for Rushcliffe Borough Council include:
- Working in purpose built offices and reduced membership of the onsite leisure centre
- Free car parking
- Rushcliffe Rewards - save money across a range of retailers and leisure providers
- Generous annual leave and opportunities to buy and sell leave
- An opportunity to further your career with a high performing forward looking Authority with training to support CPD and personal development
- Local Government pension scheme
- A range of salary sacrifice schemes
Rushcliffe Borough Council supports flexible and part time working in line with the needs of the public that we serve and the business needs of the Council. We believe that embracing flexibility is a smart way of working and ensures we can find and support the mix of talent and experience we need. We are open to a chat about flexible working possibilities when you apply for a job with us.
