About Us:

About you:

We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic person to join our busy Democratic Services Team – we don’t mind if you come with loads of experience or fancy trying something new.

The role:

You will support daytime and evening meetings in-person, virtually, and hybrid  by making appointments, checking reports, preparing agendas, and taking notes at the meeting to formulate into minutes.

We livestream all meetings and full training will be given to enable you to carry out this aspect of your role.

You will work with officers at all levels across the Council and with elected Councillors to support them in their democratically elected role.

You will support the Leader of the Council as their PA and you will also support the work of the Mayor – including the civic engagement programme, organising events, talking to members of the public, and attending events throughout the municipal year.

As well as supporting meetings, the Leader and the Mayor, you can get involved with the Councillors’ training programme, publishing the Forward Plan, updating the Councillors’ Portal as well as corporate projects outside of the Democratic Services team time and energy allowing!
