As we navigate Local Government Reorganisation alongside ongoing financial pressures, we’re looking for someone to help maintain business‑as‑usual and play a key role in strengthening financial insight, data quality and reporting to support decision-making across the Council.
The role will support priority areas including financial reporting, statutory returns, data quality and system development, and will need to remain flexible to respond to the changing demands of Local Government Reorganisation, including supporting data migration, system implementation and cross‑service information requirements.
You will need strong analytical and data skills, experience working with complex datasets (ideally in a finance or public sector environment), confidence supporting transformation and system change, and the ability to translate data into meaningful insight for non‑technical stakeholders. Experience using tools such as Excel, SQL and business intelligence platforms (e.g. Power BI or equivalent) will be essential.
