As a freedom of information request, please provide, for each financial year from 2018-19 to the most recent available at the point of production, the following:

  1. Collection of household recycling
    1. tonnes of household recycling collected
    2. tonnes of collected household recycling rejected
    3. tonnes of collected household recycling rejected, split by how it was then processed (such as energy-from-waste / incineration, landfill)
  2. Collection of non-household recycling
    1. tonnes of non-household recycling collected
    2. tonnes of non-household recycling rejected
    3. tonnes of non-household material rejected, split by how it was then processed (such as energy-from-waste / incineration, landfill)
  3. Local recycling centres
    1. tonnes of household recycling taken to recycling centres by the public
    2. tonnes of household recycling taken to recycling centres by the public that is rejected
    3. tonnes of household material taken to recycling centres by the public that is rejected, split by how it was then processed (such as energy-from-waste / incineration, landfill)
  4. Location of recycling
    1. tonnage or percentage of material recycled within the UK
    2. tonnage or percentage of material exported overseas split by how it will be processed (such as recycled or incinerated) 
    3. if available, please provide the tonnage or percentage of material exported overseas split by how it will be processed and destination country.

If tonnes are not available, please provide percentages or other available measure. If the whole period requested is not available, please instead provide data from the earliest point available till the most recent at the point of production.

Rushcliffe Borough Council as the designated waste collection authority will provide the following data on tonnages collected for the years requested.

Waste disposal is the responsibility of Nottinghamshire County Council as the waste designated authority who are responsible for data including waste tonnages rejected, how are rejected waste is subsequently reprocessed and information on final end markets for waste collected and recycled.
