Please provide the following information relating to your local authority's ("you") administration of the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) under Part 8 of the CIL Regulations 2010 (as amended). In what follows, "you" includes any former local authority whose CIL charging functions you have inherited due to local government reorganisation.
For each and every financial year since you started charging CIL, please provide any information which you hold on:
- The total amount of CIL you demanded using Demand Notices issued within that financial year (irrespective of whether or when the CIL was actually paid). If possible, please give the net amount demanded, after excluding Demand Notices which were subsequently cancelled or withdrawn in that same year.
- The total amount of CIL actually paid to you in money within that financial year (irrespective of when the demand notice which gave rise to such payments was served). If possible, please give the net amount paid to you, after excluding any repayments or refunds given in that same year. Please exclude data relating to 'in kind' payments.
- Any explanatory material relating to the above data which assists in explaining what is included, and what adjustments have been made. For example, if you are not able to state the net amounts as requested above, separate information about amounts which have not been netted off should be supplied.
Where local government reorganisation means that you are reporting the CIL charging activity of more than one predecessor CIL charging authority, please provide data for each predecessor CIL charging authority separately.

I am unable to provide the information requested as the information is exempt under section 21 of the FOI Act because it is reasonably accessible to you and the terms of the exemption mean that we do not have to consider whether or not it would be in the public interest for you to have the information. The information you have asked for is entirely contained within our published Annual Infrastructure Spending Reports, which are published on our website.
The figures for both questions 1 and 2 are included at Appendix 1a (CIL Reporting Figures) (a) and (b) for each relevant statement. These statements can be found on the CIL webpage.
We do clarify in our published IFSs that Re-Issued Notices are not double-counted; if a Demand Notice is issued and then re-issued in the same reporting year, only the re-issued Notice is included within the figure for CIL invoiced during the year.
