Request

On the 15 September 2025 Rushcliffe Borough Council published an article titled "Abolish housing targets call from Rushcliffe Cabinet member". Within that article, but outside of any speech marks, so not a direct comment of Cllr Upton, the article states

"By comparison the Nottingham City local authority area, with a higher number of brown or newly defined grey belt sites, has been given a lower target reducing annually from 1,845 homes to 1,247."

Please could the Council provide the evidence which underpins the above comment, particularly the number of Grey Belt sites in each authority.

Response

There are no available figures for Grey Belt sites.

The statement refers to brown or newly defined grey belt sites.

Figures on brownfield site can be taken from brownfield registers.

Rushcliffe's brownfield register is available on the the RBC website.
