- How much did your council spend on total housing expenditure in this period?
- How much of this total (in Question 1) was spent on private related housing? (Including temporary accommodation)
- How much did your council spend on temporary accommodation each year?
- How much did central government provide your council for all housing related expenditure?
- Do local authorities have the resources to adequately tackle housing issues in their areas?
- Other than grant funding, what can be done to support local authorities address housing issues, both with regards to access and condition?
- What changes would the council recommend to the private market to make housing more accessible?

- Answer - Clarification required. Please specify what you refer to as 'Housing Expenditure'.
- How much of this total (in Question 1) was spent on private related housing? (Including temporary accommodation)
- Answer - The Council has no private sector lease arrangements for housing.
- How much did your council spend on temporary accommodation each year?
- 2022/23 - £297,000
- 2023/24 - £311,000
- 2024/25 - £338,000
- How much did central government provide your council for all housing related expenditure?
- Answer - Clarification required. Please specify what you refer to as 'Housing related expenditure'? e.g. homelessness prevention grant.
- Do local authorities have the resources to adequately tackle housing issues in their areas?
- Answer - The grant funding received from central government is used to assist with tacking housing issues in the area. Any reduction in this funding would have adverse impacts.
- Other than grant funding, what can be done to support local authorities address housing issues, both with regards to access and condition?
- Answer - The provision of new social rented affordable housing is a key factor in addressing homelessness as it supported accommodation and floating support to help vulnerable individuals with complex issues.
- What changes would the council recommend to the private market to make housing more accessible?
- Answer - a review of the Local Housing Allowance would enable more people on low incomes to access private rented accommodation. The reforms introduced under the Renters Rights Act also provides some positive changes to ensure standards and security of tenure in the private rented sector is improved.
