I would like to put in a  freedom of information request to find out if you as a council are employing any methods or schemes of carbon offsetting, in an effort to reduce your carbon footprint.

Response

The Council have created a Carbon Offsetting Framework. This framework involves re-purposing or acquiring land and partnering with other agencies to deliver carbon offsetting projects within the Borough.

The framework also supports the establishment of various habitats to promote ecological recovery, aligning with our broader commitment to sustainability and ecological health.
