Response

  1. The cost of the contract for Mitie to run East Leake Leisure Centre
    • East Leake Leisure Centre operates under a Private Finance Initiative (PFI) involving East Leake Schools Ltd and Nottinghamshire County Council (NCC), encompassing both the schools and the leisure centre.  Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) contributes approximately £750k annually to NCC for the leisure centre and manages the day-to-day delivery of the leisure services on NCCs behalf.  Mitie is contracted by East Leake Schools Ltd.

  2. Annual income and profit the leisure centre generates and whether the profits goes to Mitie or to Rushcliffe Borough Council or some other arrangement?

Income and profit data are commercially sensitive and confidential between Mitie and East Leake Schools Ltd. Profit is shared equally between NCC and Mitie, with Mitie bearing any losses. NCC subsequently shares its portion of the profit with RBC. RBC have received a profit payment only once in the past 7 years, amounting to £5,000.

  3. How many other companies applied for the tender to run the leisure centres?
