October 2012 - Core Strategy submitted for Examination
The Core Strategy was submitted for Examination in October 2012. The examination was then suspended in April 2013 in order to allow additional work to be undertaken, primarily arising from the Inspector's concerns over the level of housing proposed and the need for a Green Belt review to be undertaken. As a result, additional consultation was undertaken in June 2013 on Further Proposals for Housing Development. Following on from this consultation, the Council published a series of Proposed Modifications to the Publication Core Strategy in February 2014.
April 2014 - Resumption of Examination
Following on from the consultation on the Proposed Modifications, the examination into the Core Strategy was resumed. Hearing sessions were held between 1 and 11 July 2014. Arising from the hearing sessions and other representations, a series of Main Modifications were then consulted on which ended on Monday 29 September.
