Positive about apprenticeships

‘Growing our own’ is a theme that we believe is not only good for our apprentices – it really does add real value to our organisation. We feel we have a valuable contribution to make in terms of young people achieving their potential. We have been able to successfully help young people start their working lives by offering apprenticeships in a number of areas across the council. In recent years we have offered apprenticeships in various ares of the Council including Business Administration, Finance, IT and Housing.

We offer great training and jobs that ‘make a difference’ to the people of Rushcliffe.

Apprenticeships can take between one and two years to complete. Permanent jobs are not guaranteed at the end of the training, however we have in the past been able to do so where suitable vacancies have existed.

All our apprentices are offered a competitive salary, generous annual leave, reduced Leisure Centre membership and access to the Local Authority pension scheme.
