The Rushcliffe Growth Boards were established in 2015 following endorsement from Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Cabinet.
There are currently four local growth boards covering:
The Boards are made up of public sector partners and local representatives of the community and business sectors. Their aim is to work in partnership to help support and develop the towns and make sure Rushcliffe Borough Council work in partnership to agree, plan and implement a long term vision for the future, meeting the needs of existing and future residents and businesses. The progress of these Boards is overseen by the Strategic Growth Board which meets quarterly.
Activity undertaken to date across all of the Growth Board areas includes:
- Retail health check of each area to understand the challenges and opportunities on our high streets. Workshops for local businesses accompanied this work.
- #WDYT social media campaign to encourage more small independent retailers to adopt the use of social media to drive up footfall on the high street.

- Great British High Street social media campaign to champion our local high streets.
In addition each Board has been focussing on priorities relevant to their areas particular needs.
