Save a fiver on swimming or skating!

28 February 2019

Visitors who use the pool at Rushcliffe Arena or the ice rink at the National Ice Centre can now make great savings on swimming or skating sessions with over £5 off a family ticket at either venue.

Up to two adults and two children can now access swimming for £10, saving a non-member more than £5 when they pay for a skate session.

Or, when purchasing a swimming session up to two adults and four children can then access skating for £5 each, a saving of more than £3 for adult and £2 for a child.

Those wishing to take advantage of either offer simply need to ask a member of staff for a printed receipt when visiting either venue.

It follows a partnership between Lex Leisure and the National Ice Centre where members and non-members alike can claim the discounted sessions to try out swimming or skating at two of Nottinghamshire’s great leisure venues.

Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Deputy Leader Cllr Debbie Mason praised the initiative between the partners by Rob Linthwaite at the Arena and the Ice Centre’s Sports Development Officer Matt Bradbury.

She said: “It is great to be working with the National Ice Centre enabling adults and children alike who swim at Rushcliffe Arena to claim a discounted skating session.

“Those visiting the skating rink are also able to claim a discounted swim, giving them a chance to use the fantastic amenities at the Arena.

“In November we reached the amazing milestone of a millionth customer, highlighting the success of the Leisure Centre.

“We hope that through partnerships such as this, even more visitors will continue to enjoy and take advantage of the welcoming swimming, gym, dance and sports activities here as well as other great local services.”

Rob said: “The swimming pool at the Arena is very popular and by working with the National Ice Centre, we are giving our customers a chance to try something new.

“To claim your discount skating session simply ask a member of our reception staff for a receipt when visiting for your swimming session.”

Matt said: “We are so pleased to develop this partnership with Lex Leisure and Rushcliffe Borough Council to offer this scheme to our visitors.

“Whilst skating is a lively and fun activity, it is also a great form of exercise and we hope that it will give those who may have not tried skating before an opportunity to give it a go.”

The promotion will run initially until June 1 with receipts valid for a month after purchase.
