Welcome £70m boost for DNRC at Stanford Hall

30 October 2018

Rushcliffe Borough Council has welcomed news on an extra £70m investment in the new Defence & National Rehabilitation Centre (DNRC) at Stanford Hall in the Borough.

The world-class facility at the Stanford Hall Estate is continuing to make progress to open a wider facility for recuperating the public from major trauma injuries, alongside recovering service personnel.

This extra investment announced by The Chancellor on October 29 will help maintain the momentum of its expansion of services to help create a major national and international centre for research, training and treatment.

The Leader of Rushcliffe Borough Council Cllr Simon Robinson said: “We’re delighted with the news of this investment for DNRC as they continue to make strides in their momentum towards completing this most important of national facilities.

“From its conception to this new milestone, this has been a long term engagement with DNRC and we have always been advocates of the vision and  concept of what the organisation wished to achieve.

“In time, it will bring new levels of scientific research and innovation to Rushcliffe, neighbouring Boroughs and the East Midlands, whilst supporting our Borough with new jobs.”
