Central Avenue flower displays round off another great summer for Streetwise

4 October 2018

It may now be autumn but Streetwise’s vibrant flower displays are still lighting up Central Avenue in West Bridgford to round off another great summer of colour in the Borough.

The dozens of pink and purple surfinias have helped welcome residents and visitors to the busy thoroughfare in recent months thanks to the team’s large colourful creations in large flowerbeds and decoratively tied to lampposts.

Managing Director John Scott-Lee said positive feedback has flooded in on this year’s flowers but is now asking local residents and businesses the colours they wish to see sparkle on the street in 2019.

He said: “Eye catching floral displays in this part of Rushcliffe have become part and parcel of our reliable high quality services in conjunction with Rushcliffe Borough Council.

“We’re pleased to have been able to maintain these wonderful flowers despite such a hot summer and now we’d love to hear what colours you’d like to see in the same display next year.

“Why not email your thoughts to us at and we’ll aim to deliver more colourful displays that make places such as this in the Borough such a pleasant place to live and work.

“It’s been a great few months too where we supported the Tour of Britain at the start of the race in West Bridgford and made creative displays along the route in Compton Acres, Ruddington and East Leake.”
