Our Jubilee event

Diamond Jubilee Picnic at the Flicks

A triple bill of family friendly movies will be screened at Rushcliffe Country Park, Ruddington on Monday 4 June, 3pm – 11pm

Admission free

3pm - The Princess and The Frog  (U Rated)

An unforgettable fairy tale filled with music, humour and heart where two frogs - along with the help of a 197-year-old voodoo priestess, a love-sick Cajun firefly, and a trumpet-playing alligator - discover that what they want isn't as important as what they need.

5pm - The Muppets (U Rated)

When three Muppet fans learn that Tex Richman wants to drill under the Muppet Theatre for oil, Gary, Mary and Walter set out to find the Muppets who have been split up for years so that they can put on one last show. Starring Jason Segal and Amy Adams, plus a cast of Muppet favourites including Miss Piggy, Kermit, Gonzo and Fozzy.

8pm - Super 8   (12 A Rated)

In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth - something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined. Visually stunning sci-fi blockbuster from JJ Abrams.

The day will culminate with a Diamond Jubilee Beacon lighting ceremony led by the Mayor of Rushcliffe at 10.15pm. Don’t forget to bring a picnic, something to sit on and a torch for night time. Drinks and snacks will be available from vending units and a licensed bar.
