Work experience

The Council only generally takes work experience students from schools and colleges within the Rushcliffe boundary. The placements can last from a few hours to a fortnight, dependent upon the school policy and the person’s needs. The types of opportunity are varied, but include placements in:

• Refuse collection, waste and recycling
• Grounds maintenance
• Planning
• Communications
• HR
• Accountancy
• Community development
• Sports and leisure
• Customer services
• Housing strategy and homelessness
• IT
• Revenues and benefits.
