Air quality guidance

The Environment and Waste Management Service has produced a guide to help developers understand the impacts on air quality and how they may go about assessing and mitigating any impacts from developments.

The guide is available at the bottom of this page and is currently in a consultation phase where comments about the guide are currently being requested. This guide does not have any formal planning status but does reflect the type of assessments that would be required by the Environment and Waste Management Service as a consultee to the planning process. It is hoped that the guide could be developed further and become adopted as a supplementary planning document as set out in the councils Air Quality Action Plan.

Comments regarding the guide can be sent to mhickey@rushcliffe.gov.uk or telephone 0115 914 8486.
