Planning Policy

Information on the planning policies and government guidelines to which Rushcliffe works.

The consultation period for the Core Strategy Option for Consultation document ended on Monday 12 April 2010. The Borough Council is now considering the responses received through this consultation. Further information on this stage of the Core Strategy can be found here.

The Planning Policy team is responsible for preparing the Rushcliffe Local Development Framework and previously prepared the Rushcliffe Local Plan.

The Planning Policy team is also responsible for dealing with issues such as national and regional planning policy, as well as monitoring development and preparing additional guidance for developers and others.

From Monday 15 February to 12 April 2010, Rushcliffe Borough Council will be seeking the views and opinions of local residents on the latest version of a strategy that will set out how Rushcliffe will change and develop up to 2026.

Rushcliffe Borough Council has concluded that there are no grounds for challenging the Secretary of State's decision to grant planning permission for 1200 homes near Sharphill Wood, Edwalton.


Rushcliffe Residential Design Guide SPD 27/03/2009

Rushcliffe Borough Council has produced a Residential Design Guide SPD which was adopted by the Council on 10 February 2009.
