Opening times
The park is open daily, 365 days a year, however the public conveniences and the car park will not be open on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
The car park opens every morning at 8am and will be locked at closing time:
- 4pm from November – March
- 6pm in April and October
- 8pm from May – September.
However, the park is still accessible outside of these times via the pedestrian access points.
Disabled access
The park is accessible to wheelchair users via the car park entrance, or from Barleylands in Ruddington. The paths around the lake are flat, with minor slopes around the rest of the Country Park. There are toilets with disabled access.
Buses to the Park
The Country Park is within walking distance from Ruddington. Nottingham City Transport Service 10 (Nottingham Market Square - Ruddington) stops at The Green in Ruddington. Other buses also go to Ruddington: Barton Buses services 14, 54 (Toton/Nottingham - Clifton/Ruddington); Midland Fox 99 (Nottingham Broadmarsh Centre - Coalville). Refreshments
Refreshments are available at the kiosk and Heritage Centre at weekends and school holidays. Please note: refreshments are provided by the Heritage Centre and the kiosk is open subject to weather conditions and the availability of volunteers.
Country code/dog byelaws
Please remember that Rushcliffe Country Park is part of the wider countryside. Dog walkers are welcome, but please remember to keep dogs under close control at all times. Rushcliffe Country Park operates a 'dogs on leads' zone; this area extends around the lake, the children’s play area, car park and connecting footpaths.
Poop scoop regulations are in operation throughout the Park. Please clean up after your dog. Free poop scoop bags are available from the Rangers office.
Please follow the Country Code:
- Take litter home with you.
- Do not pick wildflowers or disturb wildlife.
- Leave gates as you find them.
