The Borough Council is now in the process of collating and summarising the responses received through this consultation. The summary of comments received will then be considered by the council and alterations will be made to the Draft Core Strategy as necessary.
As well as considering comments, further work is necessary to support the Core Strategy including transport modelling and infrastructure planning. If the sites at Clifton and Gamston are to be progressed further, then there is a need to undertake further work in relation to these sites. This would involve looking at issues such as defining site boundaries and assessing what facilities and on-site infrastructure is required, for instance.
A further period of consultation is timetabled to take place in autumn 2010. The timing of the next stage of consultation is dependant on the length of time it takes to summarise and consider the comments received as well as the further work outlined above that will need to be undertaken.
