This is in response to requests from Fire and Rescue Authorities who have noticed a rise in the number of foreign appliances being brought into the UK by migrants and students, particularly from Eastern Europe.
These appliances are being unsafely adapted for use in the UK with the very serious risk that they could cause a fire or an electric shock.
