Homeowners
With 78% of the Borough’s households owner occupiers and the levels of repossessions rates rising, it is not surprising that increasing numbers of households are experiencing financial difficulties when paying for their home. If you are a homeowner experiencing financial difficulties the Housing Options Team will be able to offer advice and assistance to try to resolve these problems.
If your home is affected by disrepair or conditions that have potential adverse affects on your health such as inadequate heating or damp and you are over 60 or are on a lower income or benefit or are affected by disability the South Nottingham Home Improvement Agency who work on behalf of the Council may be able to help. Private Tenants
If you are an existing private tenant and you are experiencing any problems with the tenancy, landlord, severe disrepair or are struggling to afford the rent you should contact the Housing Options and Private Sector Housing Teams for further advice - Advice for Tenants page.

Council or Housing Association Tenants
If you are an existing social rented tenant and you are experiencing problems with the tenancy, landlord, severe disrepair or are struggling to afford the rent you should contact the Housing Options and Private Sector Housing Teams for further advice. Landlords
If you own a home in the Borough that you are currently renting out or are thinking about doing so, the Private Sector Housing and Strategic Housing Teams offer a range of services dedicated to help landlords improve the standards of their properties - Advice for Landlords.
Empty Properties
The Private Sector Housing team seeks to identify empty properties in the Borough so that they can be brought back into use - Advice on Empty Properties page.
Park Homes and Caravan Parks
If you live in a park home or caravan and require advice about the site licence or landlord tenant issues you should contact the Private Sector Housing Team and or the Housing Options Team
Tenancy/ Floating Support
If you are a homeowner, private rented tenant, social rented tenant, living in temporary accommodation or homeless and you are struggling to cope then you may benefit from some floating support to help address these problems - Advice for Tenancy Support page.
Domestic Abuse
If you do not feel safe in your home because someone is physically, emotionally or financially abusing you, you should seek help immediately for your own protection. If you want to leave home and move to a safe location the Housing Options Team will be able to provide advice and assistance to be able to do this.

Older People
If you are considering moving home because you can no longer cope in your property or you would like to stay but need extra support to be able to do this, the Private Sector Housing and Housing Options Teams may be able to help - Advice for Older People page.
Young People
If you are thinking about moving out of home as you would like your own independence, it is always better to plan in advance rather than lead to it resulting in an emergency homeless case. Asylum Seekers and Refugees
