Chief Executive

The Chief Executive is head of the paid service and responsible for the overall leadership of the Council's employees. The Chief Executive works closely with the elected councillors to develop the Council's strategic policies and ensure that they are properly implemented.

Deputy Chief Executive

Colin oversees Corporate Services, including the legal team, elections, the Mayor’s office, HR and planning policy. He is also in charge of Community Shaping, which includes housing, community safety, arts and events, community partnership, health education and leisure policy.

Deputy Chief Executive

Paul oversees Place Shaping, which includes development control, conservation, land charges, environment and sustainability and building control. He also looks after Environment and Waste Management, which includes recycling2go, Streetwise, the depot and licensing. He also looks after Financial Services, which includes accountancy, financial services and risk management.
